World of Warcrack

So, an evil friend of mine gave me a 10 day trial to World of Warcraft. For those of you who have played this game, it rocks doesn’t it, and for those of you who haven’t, NEVER START. You have been warned.
Anyway, I took the trial because thought there’s no harm in this, 10 days then I’m done. I knew at the time that I was fooling myself, but I didn’t want to believe. For those who don’t know much about the game, it’s a MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) based on the Warcraft RTS (Real Time Strategy) games. It’s like an online Dungeons and Dragons basically. A few of my friends at work play so I was immediately invited into their guild. I created me a character, (Female Undead Warlock) and off I went. Well, the 10 days got up, but that wasn’t enough time, oh no, I needed more. I bought the game and signed up the same day the trial ended. The only thoughts racing through my mind anymore are “how can I level faster, and how can I make more money in the game.” Sometimes my bus to and from work has wifi, and I could use it for work or something productive, but not till my Warlock reaches 70, (She’s currently only 43).

I like this game, a lot. I also hate this game a lot. There are some things that I just can’t stand, like when you die, your spirit is placed in the nearest graveyard and you have to run all the way back to your body or you can resurrect there with a 10 min 75% loss to all of your stats and a 25% armor loss, which really sucks. And sometimes it takes forever to run back. All in all there is way too much running in the game, but one of the nice things about it is that there is no loading while you are running, you can run/fly from area to area with no load time. The only times that it loads are when you cross continents or enter group instances, which is nice.

Another thing that sucks is because it is a online multiplayer game there are usually one or many others working on the same quest as you, and sometimes they take things you need or cause you to die, which is annoying, but it also has its advantages because you can team up with them and get quests done more quickly as well. All in all it’s a good game, but one that will eat way too much of your time.
